About Us

Pleasant Hill Baptist Church is constantly evolving to meet the needs of the community. From the banks of Onion Creek in May of 1870 to where it stands today, Pleasant Hill has joined forces with Capital City Church to rekindle the flame for Jesus in South Austin.

Since the first church service under the Post Oak Tree, Pleasant Hill has been a member of the Austin Baptist Association since July of 1870. It was through this membership that we were able to connect with Capital City Church.

God was working through both churches to bring his plan together.
